Camp Directors
Michele Dunn Daphne Hogan Daphne grew up attending Bear Valley Kids Camp when Bev and Austin served as directors. As she grew older, she stayed connected to the camp, Going from camper to counselor throughout the years. In August of 2022, when Bev and Austin decided, they were going to move closer to their grandchildren at the end of 2023, they asked Daphne about continuing the camp. After speaking with her grandparents, the pastors of Bear Valley Christian Faith Campus, the church agreed to host the camp so it could continue in 2023. Daphne shadowed Bev that year, learning the role of directing the camp. In 2024, Daphne stepped into leadership with Pastor Michelle and began running the camp together. Now they continue teaching young kids about having relationship with God and introducing them to the person of Jesus. Fomer Camp Directors
Bev & Austin Pickett Bev & Austin lived in Big Bear for 34 years and were continually involved in children's ministry. They were involved with youth ministry in Norco, Ca. before being married. Bev was an elementary school teacher in the Corona/Norco Unified School District for 4 years, after she received her BA & teaching credential from Cal State Fullerton. Austin was an instructor for Suzuki Motor Corp. and also taught Motorcycle Mechanics @ Riverside Community College after receiving his Associates Degree from L.A. Trade Tech. |
